Middle School Students One-to-One Laptop Computers & Washington DC Trip

Launch the media gallery 1 playerWe will be implementing our one-to-one laptop computers for middle school students. We will have a mandatory meeting at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 20th in the gym to discuss the expectations on laptops. Both student and parents should attend this meeting so we all understand the laptop program. At the meeting, we will discuss proper care, use and social media. Parents who would like their child to be able to take their computers home will sign a document allowing this. Parents who do not wish for their child to take the computer home will indicate that as well. If you cannot attend this meeting your child will NOT be able to take a laptop. One-to-one computers will allow our students to extend learning and level the playing field for all students. We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity for our children and feel it will be a positive learning program for our school.
Note - Following the laptop-computer-handout we will have a short meeting for the 7th & 8th grade and their parents about our trip to Washington DC. We will provide dates of our trip, and a tentative schedule. We will also discuss fundraising and the importance to your child helping with this process. We are planning a middle school Washington DC trip every other year.
