Name the Baby Goats

Name Those Kids

Mrs. Dovel’s freshman English class and Mrs. Duncan’s 4th grade class came together for a writing workshop, Name Those Kids. There are five sweet baby goats now, each with their own precious personality. One male and one female still needed names; the two classes worked in small groups and expressed their choice of names in persuasive paragraphs. After all the paragraphs were complete, the 4th graders voted. Folks, we are happy to introduce to you, Molly and Oreo. These cute kids will join Pumpkin, Spice, and Mahomes on the farm.

Highlights

  1. The new baby goat's name should be Charcoal. He has a flaming personality. He has a lot of energy, he is very loveable, and he is protective.

  1. Squeaky would be the perfect name for the baby goat because she squeaks and squeals when you pick her up. A baby goat is called a kid. Kids are very sweet.

  1. Mud pie is a cute name for the black and white baby goat. It would be the perfect name because young kids love to make mud pies.

  1. We want to name the goat Shrek because most goats are smelly and live in dirty places, just like Shrek!

  1. Our group thinks the goat's name should be Molly because it's an awesome name!

  1. Our group picked Sky for the baby goat’s name. Sky sounds cool, it’s a nice name, and it’s not goofy or over used.

  1. For our name we pick Bubbles because it is a pretty name. It was the first thing that came to mind and it is a really cool name.

  1. The perfect goat name would be Oreo because he's black and white. He’s sorta fluffy and is really buff and muscular. He has really big buck teeth, too.
