Mrs. Dovel's 7th grade class interviewed Mrs. Williams' 2nd graders and asked them a few questions about their plans for Thanksgiving. Their responses are sure to make you smile. Enjoy!

Zakkery’s Thanksgiving

Zakkery’s favorite part about Thanksgiving is eating the crispy and juicy turkey. He is really grateful for his family and his pets. He will buy the turkey at the store, probably Walmart. Then he will take it home, take the wrapper off, put a paper towel underneath the turkey, and then he will put it in the microwave to cook it. Zakkery said, “You only need to cook the turkey for a few minutes in the microwave because microwaves cook faster than stoves.” His family will have turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy and lots of corn.  If he made the gravy for the mashed potatoes, he would add squished potatoes and M&M's. He also really likes green beans with bacon. Zakkery shares his Thanksgiving with his family and his dog. After the huge feast, his family has pumpkin pie for dessert. On Thanksgiving, when they aren’t eating, his family watches TV, plays with the dog, or plays with toys.
