In the past week, fifth graders have started work on their farm improvement projects. Each group is at a different stage in the process and have decided on a different format to organize and solve their identified problems.

Quackers have started a Pinterest board to collaborate and save their ideas.

The Mascara group needed a field site visit to more appropriately declare the problems with goats.

The Clucking Cluckers used their time on a field site visit to take measurements. Their research findings show chickens can jump up to six feet. They needed to decide if chickens could use the posts to escape. They are determined to find out how the chickens are getting out and/or how they make it onto the highway. Measuring the posts was just one of out the many investigations did they while on their field site visit. They observed the chickens dig large holes to rest in, examined the surrounding fence, and  measured the white picket fence.

Last but certainly not least, a funny. While the Mascara group walked out to the goat hut, the chickens had to join the fun! Wherever the Mascaras were, the herd of chickens were not far behind!
