Students were partnered up and asked to save Fred. Fred was a gummy worm in a capsized boat that needed his life jacket (aka peach ring) immediately! Students were unable to touch Fred with their fingers because Fred was a special worm allergic to human oils. Students had to use their "tools" (aka paperclips) to put the life jacket on Fred and put him back in his boat. Fun was had saving Fred as the fifth graders synergized!
